Death toll in Turkey flooding rises to 64

At least 64 people lost their lives in the devastating flooding in northern Turkey, Report informs, citing the state emergencies department.

"64 of our citizens, including 54 in Kastamonu, nine in Sinop and one in Bartin, died in the flooding," the department said in a statement.

The department also informed that eight people remain in hospitals.

At least 58 people died in flooding in Turkey's north, Report informs, citing the state emergencies department.

"Most victims were in Kastamonu, where 48 people lost their lives, nine died in Sinop and one in Bartin," the department said in a statement.

Earlier, the authorities reported 55 victims of the natural disaster that hit in the country's north.
