Date of municipal elections in Turkey announced

Baku. 26 October. REPORT.AZ/ The next municipal elections in Turkey will be held on March 31, 2019.
Report informs that the decision in this regard was published in “Rəsmi Gazete”.
According to the decision of the Turkish High Electoral Commission, the nomination process will begin from December 1, 2018. The propaganda campaign will start on January 1.
Candidates for local elections must resign from office on December 1, 2018, at 17:00 in the areas they are employed.
Notably, according to the law "On Municipal Elections" local elections are held every 5 years.
