CIS Chiefs of Staff ink documents on dev’t of cooperation

A number of documents on the development of cooperation were signed based on the conclusion of the meeting of the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states held in Moscow, Report informs, with reference to the CIS Executive Committee.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to regional stability and national security of states.
It was reported that the committee paid special attention to the issues of raising the level of combat and field training of troops, military-professional training of military personnel.
The Chiefs of Staff supported the approaches of applying the experience of conducting combat operations in modern conditions to the experience of operational and combat training of troops.
"As a result of the meeting, decisions were made regarding the further development of the multilateral cooperation system in military, taking into account national and common interests," the information said.
Azerbaijani delegation led by First Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan - Chief of General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel-General Karim Valiyev, also took part in the meeting.
