Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkiye cooperation format discussed in Istanbul

Cooperation in various directions is successfully developing within the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkiye trilateral format, as noted at the meeting of Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu in Istanbul.

The ministers particularly emphasized the relations between the two countries in multilateral formats, especially in the trilateral format of Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkiye.

Touching upon the processes taking place in the region, the foreign ministers emphasized Georgia's important role in ensuring stability and sustainable development in the South Caucasus. In this context, Cavusoglu welcomed the first meeting of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia held in Tbilisi and expressed hope that Georgia will play a positive role in this process and the establishment of peace in the region in the future.
