Armenia to have first woman as Criminal Executive Service chief

A woman will be appointed as head of the Penitentiary Service of Armenia for the first time, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan wrote on social media, Report informs via Armenian media.

He noted that Tsovinar Tadevosyan has been appointed to this position.

She previously held the position of head of the social, psychological and legal work department in the Penitentiary Service.

The former head of the Penitentiary Service, Ambakum Grigoryan, was dismissed from his position in early December 2024. He held this position for a year.
