The US would be ready to accept an invitation from the European High Representative to attend a meeting of the P5 plus one [the UN Security Council’s five permanent members, China, France, Russia, the UK, the US, plus Germany and Iran], State Department spokesman Ned Price said, Report informs, referring to TASS.
"The US administration would accept an invitation from the European High Representative to attend a meeting of the P5 plus one to discuss a diplomatic way forward," he stressed.
As a high-ranking representative of the US administration told Reuters, Washington believes that for the first time, there is an opportunity to abandon the policy of maximum pressure on Iran and return to diplomacy.
