Comoros president survives knife attack

President Azali Assoumani of the Union of the Comoros was attacked by an unknown assailant armed with a knife. According to Report, which cites habari za comores, the attack occurred when the president was attending a memorial service in the village of Salimani.
The attacker managed to hit the president in the head with the knife. Fortunately, the wound was not life-threatening.
Security forces quickly apprehended the attacker, who is currently being interrogated to determine the motive behind the assault.
