Georgia set to keep intensity of military coop with Azerbaijan – minister

"It is important to maintain the intensity of the bilateral military cooperation with Azerbaijan, as it allows us to establish positive relations between the military and increase mutual compatibility," Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze said at a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Col-Gen Zakir Hasanov.

According to Report's local bureau, the Georgian Defense Ministry said that the meeting focused on peace and stability in the region, as well as bilateral cooperation. The discussions also focused on the participation of Azerbaijani servicemen in the joint multinational military exercises in Georgia and future cooperation plans to this effect. The participation of Azerbaijani servicemen in the Sachkhere Mountain Training Center was also underscored.

At the end of the meeting, the ministers signed a plan for bilateral cooperation in the defense sector.
