Elchin Guliyev discusses situation on border with his Georgian counterpart

Delegations headed by the Chief of the State Border Service, Colonel General Elchin Guliyev and Head of the MIA Police of Georgia Teimuraz Kekelidze held a working meeting on the state border at the Shamkir border post.

Report informs citing the press service of SBS that during the meeting, the sides discussed the operational condition on Azerbaijani-Georgian state border, joint fight against threats to border security, further exchange of information and experience, enhancing of cooperation.

The sides positively assessed the dynamics of development of bilateral cooperation and emphasized that the level of existing relations between the border agencies of Azerbaijan and Georgia contributes to the joint solution of issues related to the prevention of illegal activities on the state border.

The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere and mutual understanding.
