The International Conference and Exhibition "Black Sea-Caspian Logistics Forum 2024: Corridors, Cargoes, Infrastructure" is scheduled to take place in Baku from September 17-19, according to Report, which cites the event organizer, Rdl Group.
The forum will focus on exploring new opportunities for the development of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (Middle Corridor), and Azerbaijan's potential as a transit hub for international transport corridors. Discussions will also cover transit issues through Kazakhstan and Georgia, which are vital links in the transport route.
Participants will delve into the impact of the current situation in Ukraine on changes in international transport routes, the development of Türkiye's logistics infrastructure, the export of grain and oilseeds from Kazakhstan and Ukraine in modern realities, and the import of fertilizers (main suppliers and routes). The development of seaports and terminals in the region, risk insurance, and other pressing matters will also be on the agenda.
Last year's conference attracted 210 delegates from 17 countries, highlighting the growing interest in the Middle Corridor, which stretches from China through Kazakhstan, across the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and onward to Turkey and European countries.
