Iranian citizen detained on Azerbaijani border as he tried to carry drugs in his internal organs

Baku. 8 November. REPORT.AZ/ The State Border Service (SBS) has detained an Iranian citizen  who was carrying drugs to Azerbaijan in his internal organs, Report informs citing the press service of the organization.

As a result of operative search carried out by the State Border Service, border and customs examination was carried out on Iranian citizen Jafari Abouzar Yousef, born in 1987, who was travelling from Iran to Azerbaijan, at Bilasuvar crossing point. As a result of search, 440 grams of narcotic substance was found in his shoes and internal organs and seized.

The detainee admitted that he was engaged in drug trafficking.

Operational and investigative measures on the fact are underway.
