Azerbaijani law-enforcement agencies have detained 80 foreigners for drug sales this year, Report informs, citing the State Commission for Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.
Among the foreigners held accountable, 37 were citizens of Iran, 9 – of Georgia, 11 – of Turkiye, 2 – of Turkmenistan, 1 – of Kyrgyzstan, 1 – of Pakistan, 2 – of Ukraine, 1 – of Maldives, and 16 – of Russia.
Nearly 1,040 kg and 4,178 pills of various types of narcotics and psychotropic substances, as well as 16,759 pieces of cannabis containing drugs, were seized from the citizens of foreign countries.
