UNICEF stresses 'greater need' for knowledge, experience in field of unexploded ordnance

There is a greater need for knowledge on and experience in unexploded ordnance, Alex Heikens, a UNICEF Representative to Azerbaijan, said speaking at the event dedicated to the presentation of the new logo of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), Report informs.
Heikens expressed the need to continue the training of professionals in this regard and noted that communication work in this direction should also be consistent:
"The threat of landmines and unexploded ordnance must be eliminated, and IDPs must return to their homes comfortably. For this, there is a great need for educational activities. We will do our best in this regard."
