Tajik envoy: Joint high-level event on CIS-UN interaction to be held in 2025 for first time ever

For the first time in CIS history, a joint high-level event on CIS-UN cooperation will be held during the UN General Assembly High-Level Week in New York (September 2025), Tajikistan's ambassador to Azerbaijan, Ilhom Abdurahmon, said at an event dedicated to Tajikistan's chairmanship of the CIS in 2025, Report informs.

"Support will also be provided for the adoption of another UN General Assembly resolution on cooperation between the UN and CIS. Additionally, efforts will continue to develop and adopt statements at the level of heads of state and foreign ministers of the Commonwealth member states on current international agenda issues that cover the interests of all CIS members," he noted.
