Israel's defense minister praises Azerbaijan''s decision to open embassy in Israel

The decision to open the Azerbaijani embassy in Israel shows the deepening of relations between the two countries, Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz wrote on Twitter, according to Report.

He said this step demonstrates the need to continue relations for the sake of the stability and prosperity of the entire region.

The minister also recalled that he visited Azerbaijan last month and emphasized that he met with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Minister of Defense Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov and head of the State Border Service Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev.

He announced that a number of political and security issues were discussed within the framework of the meetings.
