About 12,000 Azerbaijani citizens have been evacuated from Ukraine since the beginning of the war in this country, according to the head of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) office in Azerbaijan, Vladimir Gjorgjiev.

Report quotes Gjorgjiev as saying that IOM, together with the State Migration Service, provides assistance to Ukrainians in Azerbaijan.

In order to resolve the crisis in Ukraine, the International Organization for Migration is cooperating with the government of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Foreign affairs of the country on the issue of evacuating Azerbaijani citizens from Ukraine.
