French lawyer: Azerbaijan is able to cope with all difficulties

"It is very difficult to obtain asylum, in other word to get arefugee status in France," French lawyer Jean-Emmanuel Medina told French Bureau of Report.

According to him, the person and the family, who want to obtain refugee status in France, must be in danger in their own country. It may be because of his/her religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or political thinking. In any case, this person must prove that his life is in danger. In this regard, it is not easy to obtain a refugee status in France. Today, there are a lot of people seeking refugee status at the French Office for Immigration and Integration Office in Strasbourg. However only two of them can get this status."

The lawyer said that it can sometimes take up two years to review cases of people, who want to obtain asylum seekers or refugee status in France: "Now, I defend one Chechen. Certain people are given more priority when looking at appeals to obtain asylum. Refugees, who came France during the period of mass repression in Chechnya in 2005-2010, could easily find shelter in France. "
