Azerbaijan ambassador unveils plan to hold small island states' summit at COP29

Azerbaijan's Ambassador to the United States, Khazar Ibrahim, addressed the General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), to present President Ilham Aliyev's groundbreaking initiative to host a summit for small island developing states during the upcoming COP29 climate conference in Baku.

According to Report, Ambassador Ibrahim took to social media platform X to share the details of his address, stating, "Among other issues where Azerbaijan leads and initiates global and regional agenda, spoke about multi-million assistance and scholarships to most of the OAS members at Organization of American States General Assembly. Highlighted President Aliyev's initiative to hold Small Island Developing States Summit during COP 29 in Baku."
