CBA reduces discount rate

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has announced a decrease in the discount rate by 0.25 percent from 8% to 7.75%, Report informs referring to the CBA chairman Elman Rustamov.

According to him, the lower limit of the interest corridor was set at 6% and the upper limit at 9.5% (at a ±1.75%-symmetric diapason).

The decision enters into force today. The CBA will consider the interests on December 13.
