Azerbaijan reduces external debt by 3%, quadruples domestic debt

As of January 1 of this year, the external public debt of Azerbaijan was equivalent to $6,480.7 million (11,017.2 million manats), or 9% of the gross domestic product (GDP), Report informs, citing the Ministry of Finance.
According to the information, compared to January 1 last year, the external debt decreased by $212.5 million (361.2 million manats), or 3.2%.
In addition, by the end of last year, the internal state debt of the country amounted to 15.86 billion manats ($9.31 billion), 11,678.2 million manats ($6.86 billion), or 3.8 times more than the end of the previous year.
