SOCAR Georgia plans to open new petrol station complex in Georgia

SOCAR Georgia is building a new petrol station complex near the town of Terjola, Georgia, Director General of SOCAR Energy Georgia Mahir Mammadov told Report.

According to him, this will be SOCAR's fifth complex on the highway from Sinig Korpu customs checkpoint to Batumi.

"You know that we have a wide network of petrol stations in Georgia. SOCAR is interested in extending its network in Georgia. You can see a SOCAR filling station in every place in Georgia.

"At the same time, Azerbaijan’s gas distribution network operates in the entire territory of Georgia. There is no need to declare a great development plan in terms of filing stations. We have reached such a level that there is no need for wide development. However, we are carrying out construction works in Georgia.

"This increases or decreases the significance of certain roads. Country’s infrastructure map is changing and we react to this. Taking into account the significance of the highway from Sinig Korpu customs checkpoint to Batumi, we are constructing new petrol stations as a complex. Our complex is being constructed near the town of Terjola. We have four stations along the highway. This will be the fifth one," Mammadov said.
