Prospects of expanding SOCAR's activity in Ukraine discussed

The opportunities of expanding the activity of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in Ukraine have been discussed during the meeting of SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev with Ukrainian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladislav Kanevsky.

Report informs citing the Ukranian embassy to Azerbaijan that during the meeting the sides discussed prospects of deepening energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.

They also stressed the priorities of the energy component in bilateral economic cooperation and the importance of expanding SOCAR's activity in Ukraine.

The sides also discussed issues related to the activity within the Investment Council under the President of Ukraine.

Rovnag Abdullayev stressed readiness to take part in the sessions of the Investment Council in the future. A letter was sent to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in this respect.
