There were six mineral deposits in Fuzuli, fifteen in Aghdam, and three in Khojavand districts of Azerbaijan before the occupation, said Nahid Mammadov, chief specialist of the Geological Expertise Department of Azerbaijan State Agency for the Use of Mineral Resources under the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, Report informs.
Mammadov made the remark at the meeting of the working group on environmental issues held in Aghdam.
He stated that following restoration and reconstruction work in Aghdam, four deposits have been put into use, including a construction stone and three sand-gravel deposits.
The official added that there are plans to auction three deposits soon.
Mammadov also noted that three mineral deposits, including construction stone and sand gravel, were put into use in Fuzuli.
