The delegation headed by Vugar Suleymanov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), continues holding meetings in the US, Report informs, citing ANAMA.
Within the framework of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation held meetings with the leaders of the Marshall Heritage Institute, Mines Advisory Group America, Defense Security Cooperation Agency of the Department of Defense, the World Bank, the US Department of State, and the House of Representatives, as well as several leading congressmen.
During the meeting with the officials of the Marshall Heritage Institute, discussions were held on the continuation of the long-term successful cooperation between the two institutions in donating mine-sniffing dogs. During the meeting, an agreement was reached on sending more specially trained demining dogs by the institute to support the humanitarian demining operations conducted in Azerbaijan. The organization expressed satisfaction with the long-term beneficial cooperation with ANAMA.
