Johannes Hahn: EU, Azerbaijan negotiating on determination of priorities for next decade

"The number of participants in the EU-Azerbaijan business forum has tripled in comparison to the first forum. I was a business at one time. This was last century, but, I still feel as a businessman," Johannes Hahn, European commissioner for enlargement negotiations and neighborhood policy, said at the EU-Azerbaijan business forum.

He noted that the forum held in 2017 coincides with the period of recession: "Cooperation between EU and Azerbaijan develops. We’ll sign bilateral cooperation document soon. Moreover, we started discussions on cooperation in transport last year. It’s already the 10th anniversary of our cooperation within the Eastern Partnership. We should determine priorities for the next decade and we are negotiating on this."

The commissioner said that more than EUR 207 million in loan has been allocated to small and medium entrepreneurs so far.
