Vusal Gasimli: Introduction of "Electronic Signature" for Azerbaijanis living abroad will give motivation to invest in Azerbaijani economy

"Our compatriots living abroad will be able to open a bank account through 'Electronic Signature','Mobile Signature' and 'ASAN Signature'," Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director at Center for Economic Reforms and Communication said.

Report informs that he spoke at the signing ceremony of the Memorandum with the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.

According to him, this is the first initiative in the world and this innovation will have a positive impact on the Azerbaijani economy. "Azerbaijan Digital Trade Hub, created by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev, is the second digital hub in the world after Great Britain. We have presented it "Electronic Signature" and "ASAN Signature" in dozens of countries. Among the world countries, only Azerbaijan and Estonia have introduced "Electronic Signature". Through these signatures Azerbaijanis living abroad will be able to open a bank account. This will allow the economic operations to be implemented without visiting Azerbaijan. I believe that the introduction of "Electronic Signature" will give motivation to invest in the Azerbaijani economy," he said.
