Azerbaijan's energy and logistics potential presented in Switzerland

A round table on "Azerbaijan 2022: energy source and logistics center for Europe and Asia" was held in Geneva, Switzerland, Report informs, citing the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) under the Ministry of Economy, Report informs.

According to information, the event is organized by the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG), with the support of the Joint Chamber of Commerce (JCC) Switzerland-Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South Caucasus, Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) and SOCAR Trading.

At the round table, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Switzerland, Fuad Iskenderov, the Chairman of the SMBDA Board of Directors, Orkhan Mammadov, the Director of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, Nathalie Hardyn, the Managing Director of the Joint Chamber of Commerce Switzerland-Eastern Europe, Central Asia, South Caucasus, Dorit Sallis, head of SECO (the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs) Departments on the South Caucasus and other countries, Seraina Sigron, and Taghi Taghizada, representative of SOCAR Trading, spoke on the topic.

Within the framework of the event, SMBDA, Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Agency (AZPROMO), and Switzerland's M&M company made presentations on the support and services provided to SMEs in Azerbaijan and the country's investment potential, logistics and energy opportunities.

Moreover, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between SMBDA, JCC, and Swiss Alternative Financing was signed within the framework of the event.
