Ambassador: EU-Azerbaijan trade relations returned to pre-pandemic levels

Trade relations between the European Union (EU) and Azerbaijan have returned to pre-pandemic levels, Peter Michalko, head of the EU's Baku office, said at the EU-Azerbaijan business forum in Baku, Report informs.

"Last year, the trade turnover between the EU and Azerbaijan amounted to more than $15 billion, and 44% of Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover fell to the share of the EU countries. Hundreds of European companies are currently working with Azerbaijan. We are currently working on a bilateral agreement. This document will take our cooperation further ahead," he noted.

He also stressed that the EU is ready to contribute to peace and stability in the South Caucasus, the demining process, reconstruction, and support for those affected by the conflict.
