Batumi Mayor Lasha Komakhidze steps down

The employees of the City Hall have confirmed the information with journalists.

Batumi Vice Mayor Jaba Tugushi has also resigned. Komakhidze did not comment to the media on the reasons behind his decision to leave the post.

He was elected as the Mayor of Batumi in 2017.  

Lasha Komakhidze will appoint Archil Chikovani, the head of the Adjara government administration, as the vice-mayor of Batumi today
