German defender: We were indifferent in game against Azerbaijan

Report informs, German professional footballer Benedikt Höwedes told local media after the 4:1 victory in 2018 World Cup qualifying match against Azerbaijan.

29-year-old defender playing in German "Schalke" club has said they didn’t take match with Azerbaijan seriously. According to Höwedes for that reason the game was difficult. "I think that we approached this match a little bit indifferent. For this reason, we made our work more difficult."

Notably, after 5 rounds German national team continues to lead in Group C with 15 points. Azerbaijani team though having 7 points made 1 step down to the 4th place.
