The Turkish authorities have extended flight restrictions for passengers due to COVID until March 31, 2022, Report informs referring to avianews.com.
According to the NOTAM message for A7577/21 crews dated December 30, 2021, travelers entering Turkey must present a negative test result, vaccination certificate or proof of recovery from COVID-19.
A vaccination certificate is valid if a person has received a full course of vaccinations and at least 14 days have passed since the last dose. Turkey does not yet require booster vaccinations and recognizes all vaccines approved by the World Health Organization for emergency use.
If a person has not been vaccinated at all or has not completed the full course of vaccination, they can enter Turkey with a negative COVID test. The country recognizes PCR tests and rapid antigen tests. In the first case, the test is valid for 72 hours, in the second - 48 hours. The test must be valid at the time of entry into Turkey.
The recovery certificate is valid for six months. Turkey does not require tests and vaccinations from children under the age of 12 and from adults traveling through Turkish airports in transit to third countries.
