Rural tourism to be developed in Azerbaijan's Lahij

A presentation of tourism services to be provided by the Lahij settlement municipality of Ismayilli district was held, Report informs.

The event was attended by the head of the district executive power, and residents of the settlement.

Three cottages built for tourists were opened during the event.

Speaking at the event, the head of the district said that the tourism potential of Ismayilli is great and noted that Lahij settlement is one of the oldest settlements in Azerbaijan and is also famous for its craftsmanship and traditions. In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of tourists visiting the settlement. He stressed that more work is being done to further develop tourism. He also underlined that rural tourism would be developed in the district.

The residents of the settlement expressed their deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and everyone involved in the implementation of the project in Lahij.

As a continuation of the project, additional work will be done around the cottages to make tourists' stay more efficient and exciting.
