Azerbaijan and Israel will ink new cooperation agreements, Report informs.

Azerbaijan will sign an agreement on cooperation in water management with the Israeli state company Mekorot. The two countries will also collaborate in updating customs taxation information systems.

The Israeli Tourism Ministry said that the signing will take place during the visit of the Tourism Minister and Co-Chairman of the Azerbaijani-Israeli Intergovernmental Commission Konstantin Razvozov to Baku.

During the visit, the Israeli delegation is expected to meet with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Economy Minister and Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission Mikayil Jabbarov, Youth and Sports Minister Farid Gaibov and heads of tourism organizations.

The meetings will focus on issues of foreign policy, economics, healthcare, energy resources, tourism, communications, environmental protection, science and agriculture.

On April 7, Israel and Azerbaijan will celebrate the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations. In honor of this event, an official ceremony will be held. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Israeli Tourism Minister Konstantin Razvozov are expected to attend the event.

Azerbaijan opened trade and tourist offices in Israel last year. Azerbaijan is interested in developing cooperation with Israel in tourism, agriculture, cyber security, education, water resources, and healthcare.

Trade between Azerbaijan and Israel peaked in 2019 when it reached $1.375 billion, but decreased in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. At the end of 2021, the trade between the countries doubled, amounting to $928.4 million.
