Unveiled number of tourists visiting Lankaran in 2016 - PHOTO

Lankaran. 13 January. REPORT.AZ/ An HD video and guide map, reflecting tourism potential of Lankaran have been prepared.

South Bureau of Report News Agency informs,  on this occassion Heydar Aliyev Center in Lankaran hosted a presentation ceremony.

Addressing the event, Director of Lankaran Tourism Information Center Ilgar Azimov said that promotional events are of great importance for development of tourism: "Therefore, for the first time, the Lankaran Tourism Information Center has developed guide book of Lankaran with the support of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The book was published in three languages - Azerbaijani, Russian and English".

I.Azimov said that tourism potential in Lankaran increased over the last 10 years and led to growth in number of tourists: "In 2007, number of tourists, visiting Lankaran made 3 500, while over 16 000 in 2016. However, 4 hotels and similar facilities rendered services in 2007, last year this figure amounted to 16".
