Azerbaijan Regional Volleyball Academy to be established

The Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation wants to create a volleyball academy in Azerbaijan and make it a Regional Volleyball Academy, Federation President Shahin Bagirov said at a press conference, Report informs.

He highly appreciated the visit of the President of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV), Aleksandar Boricic, to Baku: "The main direction is to attract young people and schoolchildren to this sport. If the foundation is not good, we will not be able to achieve success. The development of volleyball in lower age groups is a priority for us."

Sahin Bagirov added that the Azerbaijan Regional Volleyball Academy will be established: "The idea of the academy is presented. It is not yet clear when it will be established. Aleksandar Boricic also put forward his proposals."
