Ministry: Pension of 94 thousand people in Azerbaijan to increase by more than 30%

In line with the decrees signed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on June 18, significant increase of wages in the public sector will lead to increase pensions by more than 30 per cent of 94,000 people, who retired under special conditions according to the legislation.

These category of people include civil servants, military personnel, collaborators of justice, law enforcement, emergency situations, employees of migration agencies, people with special titles, and etc.

Thus, increasing of minimum pension to 200 AZN on the legislative initiative of the President last month covered 660 thousand citizens, while increase of wages result in significant increase of pensions of 94 thousand people who retired on special conditions. As a result, the second social package implemented this year led to a significant increase in pensions of more than 750,000 citizens.
