Ministry: Establishment of the National Observatory will play an important role in labor market and social protection

The Decree signed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev “On establishment of National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection Affairs under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population” on July 4 allows formation of advanced monitoring and forecasting system based on advanced international experience to adopt effective management decisions in the field of employment and social protection of the population.

"The document instructed to create an Observatory for two months. One of the priorities of the state employment policy is to conduct monitoring to assess the current situation in the labor market of the country, the creation of a perfect forecasting system taking into account the qualitative and quantitative parameters of the labor market.

The observatory will also cover the social protection area. It will carry out works on conducting of extensive analysis and researches, as well as accurate forecasting. In this way, the Observatory will provide institutional support for the effective implementation of reforms aimed at establishing good governance in the area of social protection.

The National Observatory on Labor Market and Social Protection will play a crucial role on implementing reforms in the field in of labor, employment, social protection and effective and appropriate organization of labor market programs and social protection," the Ministry said.
