Vice speaker: Heydar Aliyev is remembered with respect in Ukraine

In Ukraine, Heydar Aliyev is remembered with respect, Vice Speaker of Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada Elena Kondratiuk told Report's Eastern European Bureau.

She noted that in front of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ukraine there is a park named after Heydar Aliyev, and in Irpen there is a school named after Zarifa Aliyeva.

Kondratiuk recalled that the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, was awarded with the first highest award of Ukraine - the Order of Yaroslav the Wise, which is awarded only to great personalities.

The vice speaker recalled with satisfaction that the school building in Ukraine, damaged as a result of the war, was repaired at the expense of Azerbaijan: "Restoration work at the school has been completed, and students can now return to classes."
