United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to visit Ukraine in December

United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk will visit Ukraine on December 4-7, Report informs, citing the press service of the United Nations.

As part of the trip, the UN representative will visit Kyiv and settlements in Kyiv oblast. He is also expected to visit Kharkiv, Izyum, Uzhhorod. Moreover, the high commissioner will meet with local authorities and residents.

Turk is expected to talk to the relatives of civilians who were missing or abducted and relatives of war prisoners. Upon results of the visit, on December 7, the UN official will hold a press conference in Kyiv.
