The number of refugees from Ukraine who have moved to neighboring countries since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war has reached 3 million, Representative of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Paul Dillon said at a press conference at the UN office in Geneva, Report informs.

He noted that the number of refugees who left Ukraine since February 24 has reached 3 million people.

Among them, 157,000 are citizens of third countries, he noted.

UNICEF spokesperson James Elder said many children have been injured or killed since the fighting began.

This means that about 70,000 children have become refugees per day since the start of the war, Elder said.

The UNICEF spokesperson stressed that the migration crisis in Ukraine, in terms of speed of development and scale, is unprecedented since the Second World War.
