Ukraine to extend martial law & general mobilization

At the next plenary session, the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) of Ukraine will extend martial law in the country for the fourth time. The deadline for general mobilization will also be extended, said Yaroslav Zhelezniak, People's Deputy from the "Holos" (Voice) faction, Report informs.

He noted that the relevant presidential decree will be submitted for approval by the Rada in the coming days.

"So far, the extension period is unknown, but it is expected that, unfortunately, it will be quite long. We should also expect a decree on mobilization, which is tied to the duration of martial law," the people's deputy wrote.

The last time the deputies extended the mobilization until August 23 in May.
