Turkey hands over special equipment to Georgia for military airfield in Marneuli

Turkey has transferred various types of special equipment to the Georgian Defense Forces, according to the Georgian Ministry of Defense, the Georgian bureau of Report informs.

As many as 11 supply vehicles, 2 minibuses, 2 tractors and other technical means will be used to improve the material and technical capabilities of the military airfield in Marneuli.

Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze inspected the special equipment and got acquainted with its capabilities. He expressed gratitude to Turkish Ambassador Fatma Ceren Yazgan for providing logistics equipment.

Special equipment was transferred under the Agreement on Cooperation in the Military-Financial Sphere between the governments of Turkey and Georgia.
