Russia's COVID-19 tally hits 818 120 thousand

Russia confirmed 5 635 new COVID-19 cases in a day, bringing the country's official number to 818 120, Report says, citing RIA Novosti.

According to the Operational Headquarters, Russia's  death toll reached 13 354, as 85 others have died over the past day.

Moreover, 603 329  COVID-19 patients have recovered in the country so far.

Most of the new infections were recorded in the capital, Moscow - 694 people.

Moscow lifted restrictions including compulsory travel passes on June 8, a move welcomed by residents who rushed out to enjoy the streets and parks. Many other regions lifted lockdown restrictions ahead of a July 1 national vote despite the pandemic. 

However, Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia, has extended Russia's ban on international flights until Aug. 1 due to the coronavirus.
