Putin reveals number of Russian tourists traveling to Turkey

The pandemic has seriously damaged the tourism industry in the world as a whole, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"6.8 million Russian tourists visited Turkey in 2019, 1.5 million in 2020, and 2.5 million in the first nine months of this year. The situation is improving,' he noted.

Erdogan thanked Putin for the Russian tourists visiting Turkey during the pandemic.
