Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov has left on a working visit to Russia, according to the Kyrgyz presidential press service, Report informs referring to TASS.

“Today, on May 24, the president of the Kyrgyz Republic left for the Russian Federation, Sochi city on a working visit,” reads the message. “As part of the visit, Japarov will hold talks with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, during which it is planned to discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation, prospects for the further expansion of interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.”

During the meeting the leaders of the two states are expected to pay special attention to interaction in the interests of ensuring regional security, including within the CSTO, CIS and SCO, as well as issues of deepening Eurasian economic integration.

“During the meeting, it is also planned to discuss the measures taken to counter the coronavirus pandemic, including the supply of Russian vaccines to the Kyrgyz Republic,” the report says.

The Kyrgyz delegation heading to Russia also included Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev, head of the foreign policy affairs department of the presidential administration Dastan Dushekeyev and the republic’s ambassador to Russia Gulnara-Klara Samat.
