Ismail Demir: We want to make better UCAVs

There were no breaks in the defense industry's projects due to the pandemic, Ismail Demir, head of Presidency of Defence Industries, said in an interview with TRT Haber.

"We spent the pandemic period in the defense industry under the slogan 'There is no stopping, keep going.' Of course, we took the measures at the maximum level and complied with the distance and other conditions. There was a slight slowdown, but there were no breaks in our projects. We carry out non-stop delivery of products. Our projects continue. We used unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAV), but our opponents had an idea of their capabilities. If we stop, they will catch up with us. That's why we want to make better UCAVs, and we're working on that. It is impossible to stop; it is necessary to focus on new technologies," he noted.
