In Iran, two coronavirus vaccines have been tested on humans, Report informs, referring to Fars.

The rector of the Iranian University of Medical Sciences said a large number of volunteers had been collected for the tests.

Earlier, the government noted it was ready to buy drugs that have been approved by the World Health Organization (WHO). At the same time, Kianush Jahanpur, a spokesman for the Food and Drug Administration of Iran, stated that five local vaccines had been included in the WHO list.

Since Iran officially registered the first case on February 19, 749,525 people contracted COVID-19, of which 41,034 died.
