Iran says it shot down US MQ-9 drone over Hormozgan

Iranian armed forces intercepted and destroyed a US MQ-9 drone over Hormozgan province, Report informs, citing Iranian state television IRIB.
IRIB cited a statement by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC.
"The MQ-9 drone was intercepted and shot down using a new advanced IRGC air defense system in the skies over Hormozgan province," the statement said.
