Hakan Fidan: Long-term ceasefire between Russia, Ukraine possible for first time

For the first time, a long-term ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine is possible, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said at a conference at the Institute of International Relations in Rome, dedicated to current international events, Report informs via Anadolu Agency.
He noted that the US should make serious efforts to achieve this.
The foreign minister expressed hope for a successful conclusion of the lengthy negotiations: "President Donald Trump has changed the policy and position of the US on Russia's war against Ukraine. Instead of being the leading force in the conflict, he has opted for a policy of neutrality."
