Greece claims that Russian diplomats will be expelled in accordance with the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961 and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963, Report informs.

The Russian ambassador has already been informed about this decision. When the diplomats must leave the country is not specified.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told RIA Novosti that Russia "will give an appropriate response".

Since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine, about 300 Russian diplomats have already been expelled from the United States and European countries. The European Union also expelled several employees of the Russian Permanent Mission.
